The Carousel

Today I had the opportunity to mow the lawn.   All great lawn mowers know that there is a technique to the madness.  ( at least for me)  You start off by making an outline of the edges; I normally go around twice, that way when I start mowing the rest of the lawn I never have to mow onto the concrete.   The key part of mowing the lawn is deciding which design you will create for that particular week.  The first strip you mow is key, whether it’s diagonal, horizontal, or vertical.  The first one determines the rest of the lawn and how well it looks.  As I started, my first strip I mowed was “skiwhompus”.  From there I could have continued to be “off track” or I could straighten it out.
It’s the same with life.  If you start down a path and end up looking at it and not loving it, YOU CAN CHANGE.  In this life we are guaranteed to mess up, but what we do after that, is what really matters.   If you fall, you pick yourself up.  You keep going.  Never think that there isn’t a way out of it.  YOU choose if you straighten out the path, or if you continue down the “skiwhompus” way.  Only you can decide what is right for you.
“Anyone can put you on the right path, but they can’t make you walk it. You have to decide to take the first step and decide if you’re on the road to success or failure.”
What you do in this life is all up to what you choose to do.

There’s a quote that I’ve been thinking a lot it constantly.

The symbolism shows that life is constantly going.  We as people are constantly getting older, wiser. We experience the good and the bad throughout life, that’s what makes us human. Our experiences are what make us who we are as individuals, that’s why no two people are the same, because none of us have experienced the same things.  When we go through things, it can either forge a character within and make us better or we can sit and feel bad for ourselves.    I remember as I watched an episode and it said “you can’t get off”, I was mortified. (I cried)  I kept thinking  NO!!! You can get off.  There are many carousels; you DECIDE which one you want to get on, and create your new life on the carousel.  You decide if you want get off.  BUT if you stay on your carousel, you choose to love it, because that was your decision; you do not blame others for your choice on staying on your carousel.

My challenge to you is to find the path that you can look back at and say "I chose and created this path, I'm proud about it". You choose your life, and love it.  Realize when you need to get off the carousel, or whether you need to stay on. Don't forget that life is constantly happening ....don't miss it.

xoxo loves
